Sandals and Beaches resorts are always striving to make their resorts better and better for their guests. We’re excited to share the numerous resort enhancements and updates scheduled for 2015. Below is a brief overview of the many things in the works for this year:
- Sandals Barbados: Following an extensive renovation project, the resort will open January 28, 2015 featuring a selection of 280 luxury accommodations set within three distinct villages: Ocean Village, Crystal Lagoon Village and Caribbean Village, that range from opulent beachfront butler suites to new swim-up river suites situated in the resort’s lush tropical garden. Sandals Barbados will offer 11 Discovery Dining choices that span the globe from French Brasserie at Bayside and Japanese Teppanyaki at Kimonos to a world class steakhouse, Butch’s Chophouse, and the brand’s first ever Indian restaurant, Bombay Club; new contemporary furnishings throughout all rooms and suites including mahogany four-poster beds, flat-screen televisions, lavish bathrooms, and luxurious indoor and outdoor soaking tubs; Sandals’ exclusive Red Lane® Spa with six new treatment rooms; Sandals Resorts signature fire pits; additional bars serving premium brand spirits, including Appleton Jamaica Estate Rum, and Sandals Resorts’ newest partner, Robert Mondavi Wines; an oceanfront main pool with swim-up bar; expansive whirlpool; reflecting pool with fire pit in the lobby; river pool accessible from swim-up suites and additional whirlpool in the resort’s gardens; state-of-the-art fitness center and much more.
- Beaches Turks & Caicos: Beaches Turks & Caicos has completely renovated 12 Two-Bedroom Presidential Suites in the Caribbean Village. Now dubbed, Caribbean Two-Bedroom Luxury Butler Villa Suites, the accommodations now boast new furnishings, design and more.
- Beaches Negril: To add to the extensive array of restaurants at Beaches Negril, guests can now choose from Asian cuisine with authentic Teppanyaki-style eating at Kimonos and will soon enjoy the brand’s sushi restaurant, Soy, coming in February. In addition, the resort’s famous Pirate’s Island Waterpark will debut another slide and stop section to its water play area and new decking.
- Sandals Grande Riviera Beach & Villa Golf Resort: Sandals Grande Riviera will undergo several renovations through February 1, 2015 complete with significant upgrades and new Discovery Dining restaurant concepts for the brand including Southern, tapas and a speakeasy bar. Restaurants will include Tapas on the Riviera, a tapas bar; Le Gourmand, a high-end French restaurant; Vista, a seafood beachside restaurant; The Southern Table, featuring Southern soulful cooking; Ocean, featuring cuisine from the South of France; Jerk Shack, featuring authentic and casual Jamaican Jerk; The Rabbit Hole, a new speakeasy bar; and , a chic deck lounge and bar area. Additional upgrades to the resort include: a Popcorn & Palms Cinema, featuring endless popcorn and movies under the stars; new garden and landscaping throughout the resort with updated furniture, water installations and signature fire pits; added balconies to the Paradise block rooms and more.
- Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort & Spa: All eight Piton Water’s Edge suites have undergone complete renovation. The suites boast new indoor and outdoor bathrooms complete with an exterior tub with natural wood accents and an interior glass shower, as well as new vanities, furnishing and fabrics. These secluded two-story villas feature all new furnishings and flooring, integrating the warmth and view of the ocean.
- Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort & Private Island: Sandals Resorts is constructing five over-the-water suites on the private island at Sandals Royal Caribbean. Set to debut in 2015, each 1400 square foot villa will feature glass floor, soaking tub, king-size bed, 65-inch flat-screen TVs in living and bedroom areas, indoor and outdoor showers, exterior dining space and built-in hammock over-the water. Additionally, the newest Grand Luxury Butler Suites with Tranquility Soaking Tubs housed in the Edinburgh Building boast a spacious bedroom with an expansive 15-foot-wide veranda featuring a free standing Tranquility Soaking Tub and exterior dining area. Complete with the attentive service of Sandals Butlers, the magnificently appointed bedroom features exquisite handcrafted mahogany furniture, a four-poster king-size bed, 46” Smart television and elegant furnishings. The en-suite bathroom will also boast an additional freestanding bath, dual control walk-through shower, couples vanity and water closet enclosed with frosted glass. Suites also include an iPod docking station, his and hers plush robes, walk-in closets and more.
- Beaches Barbados and Beaches Antigua: Coming soon in 2015, Beaches Resorts is set to begin building on the former Almond Beach Resort in St. Peter, Barbados, and on the site of the existing Grand Pineapple Beach Resort in Long Bay, Antigua. SRI is eager to expand its family vacation offering to these new islands, providing more choice and new destinations for its guests to explore. These new resorts will not only be the first Beaches Resorts in the destinations, but also the fourth and fifth resorts added to the Luxury Included® brand collection.
- Robert Mondavi Wines Partnership: Continuing to enhance its extensive culinary experience throughout its resorts, Sandals Resorts International announces a partnership with Robert Mondavi Wines set to debut March 1, 2015. Through the collaboration with the award-winning Napa Valley vineyard, guests will enjoy an expanded complimentary wine list as well as an enhanced Manager’s Wine List and on-resort programming including wine pairings and wine tastings. Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts will offer six varietals of wine to choose including: Robert Mondavi Twin Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon – Juicy plum and cedar aromas lead to profound blackberry, cherry, and tobacco flavors. Nicely toasted and caramelized by oak aging. Robert Mondavi Twin Oaks Chardonnay – Vibrant tropical fruit and apples meld with rich cinnamon, maple, and a hint of sweet vanilla spice. Medium bodied with a toasty finish. Robert Mondavi Twin Oaks Merlot – Rich cherry and dark chocolate aromas are followed by enticing cocoa and toast flavors. Complex and full-bodied with well-integrated tannins. Robert Mondavi Twin Oaks Pinot Grigio – Beautifully round yet refreshing nectarine and peach aromas and flavors with a peach-citrus finish. Unoaked to preserve the wine’s crisp, fresh character. Robert Mondavi Twin Oaks Sauvignon Blanc – Lively and fruit-forward with grapefruit and passion fruit aromas and flavors. Bright, mouthwatering finish. Robert Mondavi Twin Oaks Shiraz – Blackberry and rose aromas lead to lively berry, chocolate, and spice flavors and a light black pepper finish. Full tannins are beautifully balanced by bright acidity.
- New Transportation: Butler Guests of Sandals Royal Bahamian will soon be able to ride in style with two new Rolls Royce vehicles.
