Opened in December, 2013, Sandals La Source Grenada is the newest and hottest property in the Sandals family. Going beyond the convention of the traditional Sandals design, this stunning new resort is sleek, modern, hip, chic and downright sexy!
With a range of new suite categories including the magnificent “Sky Pool” suites, an incredible infinity edge pool that transforms at night in the center with an outdoor lounge and fire pit, to Sandals first ever world-class steakhouse…Butch’s Chophouse, this resort has revolutionized the Caribbean hotel market.
I had the pleasure of staying at Sandals La Source Grenada recently, and I can tell you firsthand this is definitely a resort for the 21st century.
The resort is literally less than a 5 minute ride from the airport. We arrived in the evening, and pulling into the gate and down to the lobby the resort was lit up beautifully against the night sky. This made for a striking first impression! The weekly beach party was just winding down, and as the last few Caribbean tunes played several guests grabbed a cocktail and made their way over to enjoy the firepit in the middle of the Pink Gin village pool.
I took the opportunity to do a very in-depth resort tour on my 2nd day, and can tell you that each and every room at this resort is just stunning, with a modern “South Beach” feel. Separated into 3 villages, each has it’s distinct vibe. As you move towards through the property you can get a feel that the Pink Gin Village is the more “active” section of the property, while the South Seas village exudes a more quiet and sometimes zen-like feel. Of the 20 room categories on property, a few of my personal favorites were:
